Released as the first post-Blip MCU installment, Spider-Man: Far From Home takes place shortly after the events from Avengers: Endgame. With Thanos defeated and Tony Stark dead, Peter Parker returns to high school and tries to bring his life back to normal. We find him and his friends preparing for a school trip to Europe. At the same time, a new global danger arises, as the element-based creatures wreak havoc across the planet. Peter’s plans to take a break from being Spider-Man take an unexpected turn when Nick Fury recruits him to fight the new threat. He reluctantly joins the new enigmatic hero Mysterio to discover who’s behind the latest attacks.

Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland)

One of the most beloved Marvel characters, Spider-Man is a superhero alter ego of Peter Parker. While still in high school, Parker gained superpowers after getting bitten by a radioactive spider. Using his newly-gained abilities, he started to fight crime and injustice on the streets of New York.

His superhero exploits don’t go unnoticed for long and Parker eventually gets recruited by Tony Stark and joins the Avengers. He develops a close bond with Stark and at the beginning of Spider-Man: Far From Home, he takes some time off of his superhero duties as he mourns the death of his mentor. However, the new threat to humanity forces him to get back into the spider suit. He spends most of the movie balancing his heroics with trying to win the heart of Michelle Jones.

Eventually, instead of changing the world, Beck saw his invention used as a mere therapeutic device and himself fired from the company. Bitter and disgruntled, he teamed up with other disappointed former employees of Tony Stark to plot his revenge. Using Beck’s patented hologram technology and combat drones they created a new superhero – Mysterio.
